Libournais is a viticultural subregion that is part of the Bordeaux region. This territory is divided into several vineyards. The climate is temperate oceanic because the territory is close to the Atlantic Ocean. Thus the soils are rather composed of limestone, sand and clay which allows a grape variety made of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon but also of Carmenère and Colombard.
