The viticultural area of ​​Muscadet is located south of Nantes and Lake Grand-Lieu. The Muscadet stretches over 11,900 hectares of vines across several terroirs: Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine, Muscadet-Coteaux-de-la-Loire, Muscadet-Côte-de-Grand-Lieu ... The main varieties of this sub wine region are the Cabernet Franc, the Cabernet Sauvignon but also the Melon de Bourgogne. This last grape gives dry white wines that are not destined to be kept in time. Some Muscadet wines have complex aromas thanks to a method of vinification on fine lees.
